MEET THE
ARTIST
Hey, I’m Alexis—aka @lllexpaintsstuff.
I’m a mixed media artist from Toledo, Ohio with a deep love for gouache, loud color palettes, funky florals, lady heads, and mushroom moments. My art is rooted in joy, chaos, and curiosity. I’ve been painting since I could hold a brush (shoutout to both my grandmas—painters themselves—who passed the creative bug down to me).
This little corner of the internet is where I share my work, my messes, my inspirations, and the weird little things that make life feel magic. Every piece I create is a mix of play and personal meaning—sometimes thoughtful, sometimes silly, always handmade.
Whether you're here to collect something bold for your walls, snag a print, or just vibe with the colors, I’m so glad you stopped by.
MY VIBE
If it feels retro, colorful, and a little weird, it’s probably my kind of project. I’m drawn to:
Loud color palettes
Mushrooms, florals, and funky lady heads
Groovy, 70s-inspired energy
Making things that feel fun and personal
MY PROCESS
I paint in full pieces—rarely in sketchbooks—and I love letting the work evolve as I go. Most pieces start with a feeling or image in my head and grow from there with layers of color and texture until they feel done.
Sometimes it’s planned. Sometimes it’s a mess. That’s the magic of it.
MY MEDUMS
I love experimenting and layering different materials. Some of my favorite go-tos:
Himi and Liquitex gouache
Soho Urban Artist and Liquitex hard body acrylics
Posca acrylic paint pens
Texture paste from anywhere (a little texture goes a long way!)
I’m always mixing things up—literally.
WHY I DO THIS
Painting is my unpaid passion. It’s the thing I turn to when life feels heavy, quiet, or too much. My art helps me connect with others, express myself, and (hopefully) bring a little joy into someone else’s space.
